Prickly Pear Cocktail
The first time I made this Prickly Pear Cocktail was in university. I believe that I’m one of the first people who tried to make this cocktail and believe me, it’s a great experience you should try if you love cocktails, especially fruity ones.

I don’t usually use prickly pear in my recipes, and I think many others don’t either. The fruit isn’t very popular in food, but making this Prickly Pear Cocktail is a different story. The idea came from my roommate, who I believe was from Ontario. He knew a lot about cocktails and introduced me to this one.
So, I did my research and found out I needed prickly pear syrup, which I got from Amazon. But don’t worry, if you want a homemade recipe, just let me know, The other ingredients are classic for this type of cocktail like tequila (Which I always use Blanco and you should too), lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup. And of course, the preparation is just like any other cocktail: mixing, shaking, and enjoying.
The first time I tasted it, the flavor felt unusual. The prickly pear had a unique taste, but it was good, I highly recommend trying it and enjoying it with fellow cocktail lovers.

What to Serve with Prickly Pear Cocktail?
The Prickly Pear Cocktail has a nice fruity flavor that pairs nicely with chips and guacamole, Spicy shrimp tacos, or grilled fish, You can also try it with Lemon Blackberry Pound Cake or Strawberry Crunch Pound Cake.
